Jon, Les and I headed out to the plains for some road riding on what Les calls his Kansas Ride. We planned for 100miles, but ended up with 110 after a hard headwind and the biggest ‘hills’ of the day took us into Dear Trail. We were treated to some great tailwind which got us up to 33mph and big gear spinning after the turnaround point at Trail. We averaged 19.9 mph for the entire trip. This was supposed to be an LSD (Long Slow Distance) ride. The ride time was 5:38hr, but with stops it was 6:11.
