I’ve been a little behind in my blog updates, it’s been a busy last few days.
On Saturday I completed my second LTHR test of the season. I wasn’t expecting any improvements because I just completed my Base 1 phase. Base 1 is just getting the body ready for harder work. I’ve really been in Base 1 since November, but I was focusing on keeping my fitness. Since I wasn’t working on improving, (LT intervals, Force etc) I was hoping I wouldn’t lose any fitness. My LTHR came in at 155, which is down two ticks (beats) from last season, but right where it was at the last test.
Now that I’m starting Base 2 phase, the next test should see a slight improvement.
