Rest Week

This week is rest to complete the base 2 phase of my training.   The weather has been crappy, and my job that pays the bills has been very busy also.   I am managing to get a  little riding in on the  trainer.  Here is what I have done so far and plan for the rest of the week.

  • Monday I took off, although I felt pretty good after the 5 hr ride the day before.
  • Tuesday Core workout and fast spinning in zone 2, 90-97rpm for 1 hr
  • Strength workout at the gym, in the AM.  In the afternoon I’m going to do 1 to 1.5 hr on the trainer.  It will be a Force workout.  Using hard gears to simulate hills.
  • Thursday is going to be a time crunch and possible snow on roads, so I’ll be on the trainer.  Planing 1.5 to 2 hrs of steady state intervals  6×12 with 6 min recover between.

I don’t know what I will do for the rest of the week.  we’ll see how that plans out.
