Golden 24 Training Plans

Thanks for your interest in MTBCoach Training Plans for the Golden 24.  TransRockies Events and MTBCoach have partnered to provide you with a great event and the training program to meet your goals and have fun.

The Head Coach and Owner of MTBCoach, Curt Wilhelm, has raced a number of 24hr races as a 4 person team, Duo and Solo and has coached athletes for these challenging and fun events.  Now you can tap into his years of MTB Racing and training for these events for your best Golden 24 experience.

We have three different plan choices for you depending on your event.  Each plan type has a Base and a Build plan.  Our Base plans are used to create strong aerobic fitness and prepare for the Build Plan. The Build plans adds higher intensity to produce power and speed to your race.  Start with the base plan and finish with the build plan for a total of 24 weeks of training.

Recommended Training Plans for the Golden 24

Our training plans are designed for someone to follow workouts on their own and can monitor their own progress and recovery.  Follow the links below for more details and to order with your discount code.

  • Use our Cross Country (XC)  plans for the team events. Choose from beginner to advanced training to match your fitness and experience level.  These plans are also good for the less ambitious solo event racers.
  • Use our 3-day or 6-8 day MTB Stage Race Plans for the ambitious solo events racers.

One on One Coaching

Our personalized Coaching Program is best for people that want review and guidance from their completed workouts, equipment choices, race prep and more.  Athletes that pick this choice have higher success rates with meeting their goals.  This is also more demanding as the Athletes are held accountable.  We offer a 25% discount for new customers on their first bill.
