24hrs of Moab

I’ve signed up with a 4 man team to race the 24hrs of Moab, Oct 10 and 11.  Our team is going to be good.  We have Jon D., Les, Dave and your truly.  These are all guys from our race team, Boulder MTB Racing. Jon has place in all but 2 races this year, and dave has been really improving his Cat 1 placing and times.  Les is an endurance free, and can just keep riding.  And the best part is that these guys are really cool.  It’s going to be super fun.

Jon and I are bringing our boys to help us out and watch the race.

I’ve never raced at night, and it’s been many years since I did a night ride.   Some of the early prep will be to get out a few times and ride Golden Gate Canyon SP in the night.

I’ve bought two sets of lights from NiteRider, the MiNewt 200 for the helmet and the Pro600 for the bars.  I’m looking forward to doing some rides with these things. I haven’t got the Pro600 yet, back ordered. I did get the MiNewt 200. It’s amazingly small, but also very bright. I’m impressed with this little guy and can not wait to ride with it.
