MTBCoach client Anthony T is off to a good start this season. Anthony is racing Cat 2 30-39 this year and is having a good start. He placed 6th at MSC stop #2 in Nathrop CO. Nathrop is a very fast course with only 600 ft climbing per lab.
On Sunday, at the FR MTB #4, in Louisville, CO Anthony rode with the leaders for half of the race before he had a chain suck. He came back from to take third place in the Mens B’s race.
Jon has been working hard this season and his results are paying off. Originally I created a plan for him to ‘Finish’ the Sage Burner/Full Growler race in Gunnison Co. His training has been putting him on the podium and top 10 and is paying off.
The Front Range 50 Open Mens 30-39 class has many local and regional pro and Jon beat many of them, and improved on last years time by almost 30min!
Way to go Jon, keep it up!
Stan has been chasing the podium all spring and finally got to step up with a third place finish at Henry Coe on March 28th. Stan is racing in the Cat 1 40-49 group, and I know the guys he is racing with personally, I used to be on their team. They are extremely fast, and Stan was able to keep up with them, even after a nasty crash a few days prior.
Way to go Stan!
Jon takes second to Mark Compton at Lake Pueblo Arkansas Point Challenge Cat 1 Race. Jon raced twice this weekend. Saturday he took 16th in Open class at the Whiskey 50 in Prescott AZ, then drove straight to Pueblo to race the 26 Mile course on Sunday.

MTB Coach Client Jon D took 1st place in his age group in his first 12hr solo race. Jon did 10 laps at Dauwn Til Dusk completing 120 miles in 10hr 55 minutes.
Jon also took 3rd Place Cat 1 XC race and 2nd in Super D at the 1st US Cup West XTC event in Fontana CO.
That’s 4 podiums for Jon in 3 weeks. Way to go Jon.
In his first race of the season, MTB Coach client Jon D gets 8th in his first Cat 1 race of 2010 at Bonelli Park. At the end of the race he posted on his Facebook page ‘ just finished my first cat1 xc race of the season…Man I love mtb racing! Suprisingly tough course with short but very steep climbs that really tap the energy. Cracked the top ten with an 8th place finish… only 3:52 off first…thinking I should have pushed a bit harder. Shower, grub and then I need to muster some e…nergy for this afternoons super d race. Bed will feel good tonight.’
Jon is also raced the Super D and took 1st place in his first SD race of 2010 on his new Trek carbon Remedy.
